Wilmington, DE – On May 6, a class of first graders from St. Catherine of Siena made a donation to Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.

1st graders from St. Catherine of SiennaFor at least a dozen years, they have been participating in the Hospital Awareness Program that invites kindergartners and first graders from local schools to visit the Child Life Activity Center at duPont Hospital. There they play in a ‘doctor’s office’ using a stethoscope, talk about germs, make finger casts and discuss how to keep bones healthy. The Auxiliary at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children offers this program to help introduce youngsters to the hospital in a non-threatening manner.
