Nemours Announces Four Leadership Appointments

Michael Erhard

Jacksonville, FL: Nemours, one of the nation’s largest children’s health systems, today announced four leadership appointments which will continue to elevate quality, patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes in Florida:

  • Michael Erhard, MD, Chief of Urology at Nemours Children’s Clinic, Jacksonville will assume the role of Medical Director in addition to his existing role as Chairman for the Clinic’s Department of Surgery. Dr. Erhard has been with Nemours since 1996.
Paul Pitel
  • Paul Pitel, MD, Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Nemours Children’s Clinic, Jacksonville has been appointed Associate Chief Executive of the Practice for Nemours Florida in addition to his current position. Dr. Pitel has been with Nemours since 1987. In his new role, he will be working on patient safety and quality issues for the State of Florida. Additionally, Dr. Pitel will be the lead statewide physician champion for the Florida Joint Commissions work and he will be physician champion for the Florida LEAN projects.
Eric Loveless
  • Eric Loveless, MD, orthopedic surgeon at Nemours Children’s Clinic, Jacksonville is appointed Interim Division Chief of Orthopedics. Dr. Loveless has been with Nemours since 1993. In his new role, Dr. Loveless will be responsible for management and administration of the Orthopedics department.
Kevin Neal
  • Kevin Neal, MD, orthopedic surgeon at Nemours Children’s Clinic, Jacksonville is promoted to Associate Interim Division Chief of Orthopedics. Dr. Neal has been with Nemours since 2004.
