Otolaryngology Services Now Offered at Philadelphia Clinic

Wilmington, DE – Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is pleased to announce Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Services are now available at the Nemours Children’s Clinic, Philadelphia location on the campus of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

The Ears, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Surgery Team can diagnose and treat ENT conditions in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. Their expertise covers a broad spectrum of care ranging from common conditions such as infections of the ear, nose, sinuses, and throat — to less common problems like hearing loss and airway abnormalities.

Joining the Division of Otolaryngology at the Philadelphia Clinic is Douglas R. Johnston, MD. Dr. Johnston is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Pediatrics, Jefferson Medical College. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital Boston. Dr. Johnston joins a team of six Nemours ENT specialists — all named Best Doctors in America.

Faye M. Gilad, MSN, CPNP, certified pediatric nurse practitioner — and experienced member of the Nemours ENT Surgery Team — will also be full-time at the Philadelphia Clinic.

The Nemours ENT Surgery Team will collaborate with Jefferson Otolaryngology to offer medical and surgical treatment options at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, and Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, Wilmington, DE. Hearing evaluations will be available through the Department of Otolaryngology, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
