Nemours Appoints South Jersey Professional Relations Liaison

Joan Hess, RN, new South Jersey Professional Liaison

Wilmington, DE - The Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is pleased to announce that Joan Hess, RN, BS, has been appointed as the Professional Relations Liaison for the South Jersey region.

Hess brings nearly 30 years of health care experience to Nemours, including time spent as a labor and delivery nurse and as a care manager for high-risk maternity patients. Upon transitioning to marketing health care services, she spent more than six years with the Tokos Medical Corporation building relationships with physicians and their staff to promote nursing and telephonic monitoring of high-risk
preterm labor patients.

From 1996 to 2007, Hess was a Physician Liaison with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she marketed specialty services to physicians and hospitals throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Immediately prior to joining Nemours, Hess served as an Outreach Coordinator for ComForcare Home Care in Exton, PA.

“I’m thrilled to join Nemours and do my part to help children grow up healthy and reach their full potential,” remarked Hess. “I look forward to working with the rich network of pediatric providers and practice staff throughout South Jersey.”

Hess is a Registered Nurse and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Education from West Chester University in West Chester, PA. She resides in Downingtown, PA.
