Nemours Financial Assistance Programs

Nemours understands that receiving health care can, at times, put difficult financial burdens on our families. Families that do not have commercial insurance coverage and do not qualify for a Medicaid program in their area can apply for one of Nemours assistance programs. These programs include the Nemours Financial Assistance Program (NFAP) and the Nemours Uninsured Discount Program (NUDP). A financial counselor will be able to assist you with the application for these programs and, if qualified, a family can receive a discount of up to 100% of their bill.

Nemours Financial Counselors

Nemours has several financial counselors at each site whose main responsibility is assisting families with the financial obligations related to their child’s care. Some of the issues that a financial counselor can assist you with are:

• helping a family apply for different Medicaid programs
• helping a family with an application for one of Nemours’ financial assistance programs described above

Financial counselors are available at all main sites Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Questions About Insurance?

Along with Financial Counselors, Nemours has a Customer Service department that can assist in answering specific questions regarding commercial health insurance, such as:

• Is Nemours contracted with my insurance?
• Will the services that my child receives be covered by my insurance?
• Is my child eligible for coverage?
• Do I need, and how do I get, a referral?
