Comparison of Somavaratan to Daily rhGH in Children With Growth Hormone Deficiency.
What is the trial about?
Growth hormone deficiency in childhood is treated with human growth hormone. Standard treatment is to give growth hormone medicine by daily injections. Versartis, Inc. has developed a new growth hormone medication called somavaratan that is given by injection twice a month.
Who can participate?
Children with growth hormone deficiency who have not started puberty and have not previously been treated with growth hormone can be in the study.
What is involved?
The study involves seven clinic visits over about 13 months.
Study includes a blood draw at 6 clinic visits. Bone age x-ray will be done at two clinics visits. An ECG will be done at two clinic visits.
