Survey of C-Type Natriuretic Peptide Levels in People With Skeletal Dysplasia

What is the trial about?

Recent research suggests that people with achondroplasia have elevated blood levels of C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP), which is an important regulator of growth.  The goal of this study is to measure levels of CNP in people with other types of skeletal dysplasia.

Who can participate?

Any child under the age of 18 with a known type of skeletal dysplasia can be in the study.

What is involved?

Participation will be for a single study visit that will last about an hour.

For this study, we will obtain a height and weight, get a brief medical history, and draw blood. This will occur at a regularly scheduled clinic visit.
