History

Since then, the scope of research programs has expanded dramatically as the patient population seen by Nemours physicians has broadened, but the mission of patient care, education, and research has always been at the core of the work we do under the auspices of Nemours Biomedical Research. When the mission was updated to include a vision and values for our organization, Research was, as always, there. One of our core values notes that, "We are committed to scholarly and scientific inquiry directed towards the health of children."

Despite our longstanding history, we are still a dynamic organization--standing ready to change with the times. Nemours Biomedical Research is an enterprise-wide endeavor, spanning all operating divisions of Nemours and ready to meet the challenges posed by being dedicated to the task of performing, coordinating, and assisting all research efforts that are appropriate for our pediatric-specialty emphasis.
