Paul E. Garfinkel, MSH CIP, Director, NOHSP

Mr. Garfinkel is the founding Director of NOHSP. He is a voting member of the Nemours IRBs and is vice-chairperson of the Nemours-Delaware IRB. He is also a member of the Hospital Ethics Committee and Hospital Education Committee at AIDHC. He is an active member of the Northeast Florida Bioethics Council. His experience includes three and one half years as the Nemours Corporate Compliance Manager/Privacy Officer, and a senior administrator at Nemours Children’s Clinic Jacksonville. He has an undergraduate degree in government and economics and a Master of Science in Health Administration. He has served with the Baptist Health System in operations and market research positions, and as Administrator of the Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute. Mr. Garfinkel reports directly to the Vice President, Patient Operations for Nemours. As Director of NOHSP, he is responsible for the development and direction of programs that will assure that the rights and well being of any individual who participates in a Nemours-approved research study are protected.
