Application requirements are the same whether the protocol is reviewed at a convened IRB meeting or by expedited review. All applications must be submitted via IRBNet.
Although an investigator may request expedited review, the IRB determines whether the submission is elibible.
Note:
- The investigator must submit sufficient information for the IRB to make a determination concerning the protocol.
- Protocols must meet DHHS or FDA eligibility criteria for expedited review.
- Protocols that do not meet criteria for expedited review will be submitted to the next schedule IRB meeting.
