Training: Human Subjects Protection

Nemours encourages all Associates to educate themselves about the ethics and regulations regarding the protection of human subjects in research.

Required Human Subjects Protection Training

Documentation of required training must be on file with the IRB before IRB approval. The HSP Training checklist describes the requirements for all members of the research team.

Follow these links to the required courses and CITI modules.

1. The CITI course is provided through the University of Miami.
•  Go to http://www.citiprogram.org/default.asp from the internet browser of any computer.
• New learners must register to create a username and password, and affiliate with a participating institution (AIDHC or Nemours Children’s Clinic Florida).  Returning learners may access the site with their login information.
2. Nemours specific courses are available through Nemours University.
   • Go to http://nemours.sabanow.net/Saba/Web/Main from the Internet browser of any computer.
   • Enter your username. For Nemours Associates, this is your Network ID. Non-Nemours associates may obtain a username by contacting Robin Steinman at rsteinma@nemours.org.
   • Enter your password. Note: The first time you log in, the password is welcome. You will be prompted to change your password.
