Role of Regulator T-Cell Function in Asthma Severity of Obese Children (Treg)

What is the study about?

We want to study the relationship between obesity, immune system function, inflammation, and lung function.

Who can participate?

We are recruiting patients who:
  • are between the ages of 12 and 25 years
  • have asthma with symptoms at least 5 days a week
  • take asthma controller medication 5 or more days a week
  • have a BMI (Body Mass Index, which is used to indicate if a person is over or under weight) between 25% and 85%

What is the time commitment?

Participants will require 2 to 3 clinic visits in a 1 to 2 month period. Study visits range from 2.5 to 3 hours each.

What are the costs of being in this study?

There are no costs involved in the study.

Will I be compensated for my time?

Participants can receive up to $75 for time and travel for completing all study visits and testing.
