At the Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (NCCBD), we offer a family-friendly program emphasizing supportive care and comfort, as well as top-of-the-line treatment for all types of childhood cancers and blood disorders.
Our goal is to help families like yours throughout the course of your child’s care, from diagnosis to survivorship, providing the resources and education you need to leave the hospital well-prepared for your child’s ongoing treatment. Pooling our resources from throughout our health system, through NCCBD we've expanded our research efforts and expertise to continue Nemours’ mission of providing family-centered care, safety, and quality of life for our patients.
Because hematology and oncology are so closely connected, outpatient care for blood disorders at the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is delivered in the Pediatric Oncology Day Therapy Suite. This state-of-the-art facility offers a variety of services – including assessments, drug infusions, pheresis (a special type of blood donation), blood transfusions, minor procedures, patient and caregiver education, nursing care, and surveillance – in a child-friendly environment.
