Doctors:

Doctors and members of the caregiving team within the Division of Hematology/Oncology diagnose and treat children with a broad range of childhood cancers (oncology). Our team coordinates your child’s ongoing care with your child’s primary care physician.

We hold special clinics for children with brain tumors and for long-term follow-up of children with cancer. We’re also part of the Children’s Oncology Group (COG), an international organization that ensures your child is getting the very best treatments available. And our staff members are actively involved in clinical research to develop new treatments.

Your child’s cancer care team works in partnership with the staff at the Arnold PalmerHospital for Children in Orlando to establish a state-of-the-art management program for childhood cancers. Children who need hospitalization are currently admitted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

However, in 2012 kids will be able to stay at the new Nemours Children’s Hospital in Lake Nona’s “medical city.” The 620,000-square-foot children’s hospital will serve as the core of a 60-acre pediatric health campus featuring a children’s clinic, emergency department, diagnostic and ambulatory programs, as well as education and research centers.
