Critical Care
The Division of Critical Care Medicine at the Nemours Children's Clinic in Pensacola provides pediatric critical-care services to children at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital. The close partnership between Sacred Heart and Nemours has not only allowed the clinic to meet the critical-care needs of a large and diverse geographic area, but also led to the clinic’s designation as one of the few freestanding regional pediatric trauma referral centers in the state.
The division also is involved in local, regional, and national activities, such as child- safety education, the development of pediatric facility standards, pediatric interfacility transport standards, emergency medical services for children, and other important topics related to children's health.
