Genetic Disorders
The medical and developmental concerns for children with different genetic conditions vary greatly. For this reason, we frequently collaborate with other medical specialty areas, such as Developmental Pediatrics or the Craniofacial Clinic, to create programs tailored to children with specific hereditary disorders.
At our hospital, we currently have special programs for children with the following conditions:
- Skeletal dysplasias
- Neurofibromatosis
- Down syndrome
- Noonan syndrome
- Costello syndrome
- Cleft lip/palate and craniofacial abnormalities
- Cardio-Facio-Cutaneous (CFC) syndrome
- Hearing loss
Our genetics specialists also work out in the community, providing evaluations for patients at Christiana Care MedicalCenter in Newark, Delaware.
