At the Nemours Children’s Clinic, Pensacola, our board-certified surgeons offer evaluations, testing, diagnosis, and follow-up care covering a wide range of expertise, extending from head and neck abnormalities to conditions of the lung, blood vessels, gastrointestinal and urinary tract.
Our Nemours surgeons perform the actual surgeries at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Pensacola– one of the many health care providers we’ve partnered with to make it easy for your child to get Nemours’ quality of care at other convenient locations. This collaboration allows us to offer 24-hour hospital emergency, inpatient, and consultative services to the children in and around Pensacola, as well as the Florida Panhandle and southern Alabama.
We also perform minimally invasive procedures (when it’s appropriate) in newborns, infants, children, and teens for non-cardiac chest and chest wall conditions as well as in the gastrointestinal tract. And our staff works closely with the perinatologists (doctors who care for women with high-risk pregnancies and their fetuses) to manage conditions detected before birth.
Whatever type of procedure your child needs, we request that your child come in for a pre-surgical evaluation, including a medical history and physical examination, within seven days before the surgery date. If necessary, some tests may be ordered.
