Minimally Invasive Surgery
The board-certified pediatric surgeons in our Minimally Invasive Surgery Program are available to evaluate and follow up with our young patients at our Nemours Children’s Clinic, Jacksonville. The actual procedures are performed at Wolfson Children’s Hospital – one of the many health care providers we’ve partnered with to make it easy for your child to get Nemours’ quality of care at other convenient locations.
This collaboration with Wolfson, connected to our downtown Jacksonville clinic by a walkway, also allows our Nemours physicians and surgeons to provide 24-hour emergency, inpatient, and consultative services to the children of northeast Florida and southern Georgia.
Whatever type of procedure your child needs, we request that your child come in for a pre-surgical evaluation, including a medical history and physical examination, within seven days before the surgery date. If necessary, some tests may be ordered.
