Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children has Delaware’s only Pediatric Trauma Center. Accredited as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons, we provide exceptional trauma care 24/7 year-round for seriously injured children in the tri-state area.
We have an experienced in-house trauma team, operating room (OR), and specialists available to care for your child. Every injured child who comes through our doors is evaluated and managed by a team made up of emergency medicine physicians, anesthesiologists, orthopedists, radiologists, critical care physicians, surgery residents (doctors training to be surgeons), and advanced practice nurses.
Our dedicated health care professionals, and many others throughout our hospital, are committed to providing comprehensive trauma care to children ‑ from admittance to rehabilitation ‑ to help restore health and prevent disability.
