Fellowship training in pediatric urology means that our urology specialist has additional medical training in children’s urological issues and is able to provide medical and surgical care for infants, children, and teens with a wide variety of urinary tract conditions.

We strive to provide your child with personal and compassionate care. Children’s urologic conditions can sometimes be complex, so we do all we can to make sure that you understand and are comfortable with any treatment options.

Among the services we provide are:

• complete urologic assessment
• pediatric gynecologic assessment
• reviews of voiding studies, voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG) - (X-ray images of a person's urinary system), ultrasounds and other radiologic studies

Helping You Understand Pediatric Urologic Surgery

If surgery is needed for your child, we realize that you want all the information possible in order to make the best decision, so we take the time to explain each option, always looking for the least invasive method for faster healing and return to normal activities.

One of the ways we help you and your child understand and prepare for a surgical procedure is through our EmmiKids videos.

No other clinic in the Panhandle offers this unique web-based program that takes complex medical information and makes it easy-to-understand.

Emmi® has programs on hypospadias, circumcision, and orchiopexy (moving an undescended testis). Your doctor will give you a special code that will allow you to access your EmmiKids program from any computer.

Partnering with Sacred Heart Children's Hospital

Nemours Children’s Clinic, Pensacola, is affiliated with Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital, a 106-bed pediatric center created with the total needs of children in mind. Recognizing that family members want to stay with their children in the hospital, there’s a sofa lounger in each room that expands into a sleeper.

Families also enjoy conveniences such as refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers, as well as a family resource area, parents’ lounges and a washer and dryer. As your child recovers, they may enjoy visiting one of three play areas, including an infant/toddler playroom and a game room for older children featuring video games and a big screen TV.
