Pharmacy

At Nemours, Clinical Pharmacists review medication orders and provide comprehensive clinical and consultative medication therapy services for patients. The Pharmacy staff provides drug information to all providers and prepares and dispenses oral medications, chemotherapy, intravenous admixtures, perenteral nutrition and special compounds.

Nemours Pharmacists have advanced training and specialize in a variety of pediatric disciplines including Oncology, Nutritional Support, Critical Care, General Pediatrics, Ambulatory Care, and Operating Room/Anesthesia. They are an integral part of the patient care team and utilize the most up-to-date drug information systems as well as the latest medical technology—such as a computerized physician order entry system, automated medication dispensing systems and bedside patient verification with medication bar coding.
