Carol Nash Humphrey

Carol Nash Humphrey received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Central Florida and did graduate work in Urban and Regional Planning at Florida State University. 

After working as senior planner for Orange County, Florida, from 1987 to 1992, and later for the city of Largo, Florida, from 1996 to 1997 while her husband attended law school, she undertook the early childhood education of her two daughters, both of whom have dyslexia. (Carol is also dyslexic as is her father.) She is certified to teach children with dyslexia utilizing multisensorial techniques.     

Over the years, Carol has been very active in various community organizations as well as an active leader in her church and the school her children attend. She continues to stay abreast of the challenges facing children with dyslexia in our community.
