Carol Quick, EdD, joined the Nemours BrightStart! team in July of 2011.

Dr. Quick started her professional career as a special education teacher in Chesapeake, VA.  She moved to Florida where she earned her master's degree in early childhood education and operated an Early Childhood Education Training Program at a post-secondary institute in Orlando, FL.  Upon moving to Osceola County, FL, she served as the school district administrator for Early Learning and Extended Day. Dr. Quick was a pioneer in bringing the Nemours BrightStart! educational curriculum districtwide to pre-kindergarten students within public school pre-kindergarten classrooms.  

Ms. Quick earned a BS in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a MS in Early Childhood Education as well as an EdD in Organizational/Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  She earned National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist and certification in Educational Leadership.

Carol stays current in her field by engaging in professional organizations, including International Reading Association, National Association for the Education of Young Children, and Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. She served for seven years as a Board member for the local Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County. She is active in her Rotary Club, having served as Club President as well as a member of numerous committees.

Dr. Quick lives in St. Cloud, FL, with her husband, Bob, and they are both passionate about boating and being on the water. Carol also enjoys spending time with family, gardening and traveling.
