Communities everywhere should know that preparing children for reading success is an essential building block to helping them become productive, healthy citizens. For many children, learning to read poses a big challenge.
That’s why Nemours BrightStart! schedules events within communities: to raise awareness about reading failure and dyslexia, and to offer guidance that will put all children on the road to reading success.
Events include literacy screenings, reading readiness instruction, workshops, presentations, product and service offerings, and other activities.
Fun Craft & Early Literacy Screenings - Jacksonville, FL
Nemours BrightStart! will lead children in a craft that relates to the theme of West Regional’s Preschool Storytime and offer free early literacy screenings.

Make plans to attend this special, FREE, fun and interactive training session developed especially to increase your preschoolers early literacy skills at the Nemours Home Office.
Nemours BrightStart! Pre-K Day With MOSH
Bring your little ones to MOSH the second Wednesday of every month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a planetarium show and a fun craft. Admission is only $5 per person.
Back to School Bash
Nemours BrightStart! will participate in the “ Back to School Bash,” held at the Amway Center. They will be providing information for parents of young children and back to school supplies.
