Injury Prevention Program

The Injury Prevention Program at Nemours/
Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is
committed to decreasing the incidence of
traumatic injuries through community-based
education efforts.

Trauma centers have the important
responsibility of leading injury prevention
efforts in the community. That’s because,
in many cases, the life-threatening injuries that
bring patients to a trauma center may have
been prevented through effective education
programs. These efforts at Nemours include our
Child Passenger Safety Station, our in-house
Safety Store, and various teaching programs.
