CATCH Kids Club

CATCH Kids Club

Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) Kids Club

The CATCH Kids Club is an after-school, summer, and community recreation program designed to promote healthy eating and physical activity behaviors to children in grades K-5. CATCH Kids Club includes short lessons on healthy eating and a physical activity component.

The physical activity component of the CATCH Kids Club has four main objectives:

  • To involve students in at least 30 minutes of daily physical activity
  • To involve students in at least 50% of moderate-to-vigorous (breathless) physical activity during daily physical activity time
  • To provide students with many opportunities to participate and practice skills
  • To provide students with a variety of enjoyable physical activities

NHPS recently hosted CATCH Kids Club training sessions for the staff of Delaware nonprofit and community-based organizations directly serving children.
