At Nemours, pediatric psychologists, child and adolescent psychiatrists, and postdoctoral trainees in pediatric psychology provide psychology services. These caregivers are engaged in clinical, research, and educational activities related to child development and behavior. Nemours offers psychological evaluation, therapy services, and medication management to children up to age 18 and their families.

At Nemours, we use a team approach for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of emotional and behavioral problems, addressing these problems with attention to their physical, genetic, developmental, emotional, cognitive, educational, social, spiritual, and family components. Individual and family therapies, as well as psychological testing, are available. Common referral problems include hyperactivity, learning disabilities, medical noncompliance (patient doesn’t listen to the doctors orders), pain management, and other health-related behavioral and emotional problems.
