Pulmonology
Pulmonary medicine at Nemours provides consultation, diagnosis, and continuing care and therapy for infants, children, and adolescents with a variety of acute and chronic lung and airway diseases. Staff includes highly skilled physicians who are experts in treating many life-threatening conditions including cystic fibrosis, asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, recurrent or acute pneumonia, and tuberculosis.
Common referring complaints to the pulmonology section are: asthma, chronic cough, recurrent pneumonia, apnea, stridor, suspected airway obstruction, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, sleep-related breathing disorders, and cystic fibrosis.
Nemours pulmonologists works closely with other specialties including Allergy and Immunology, Critical Care Medicine, and Neonatology to offer comprehensive care.
Our Nemours Children’s Clinic locations in Jacksonville, Orlando, and Pensacola, Florida, as well as Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware, are nationally- accredited cystic fibrosis care centers.
