Q: Can I bring my child? Will there be babysitting available?
A: In order for you and the other participants to be able to listen and absorb all the great information, we have made these seminars for adults only. Unfortunately, we do not have the capability to provide babysitting here at the hospital for your children.
Q: I know it says free, but will there be any fees for parking or materials?
A: No, the seminar is free and includes any materials distributed during the seminar as well as light refreshments. Parking on our beautiful grounds is also free.
Q: If it is free, why do I have to give you my name and email information? Will someone call me?
A: No, we only ask for this information to ensure there is a seat available with our limited space. We ask for email contact information so that we may confirm your registration and inform you if there is a need to cancel.
Q: Will there be any credits given for attending this seminar?
A: You will not receive Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s) for participating in the seminar. This does not fulfill any court-mandated parenting classes.
Q: How do I cancel my registration, once I’ve registered?
A: The easiest and most direct way to contact us is via email at seminars@nemours.org. In the subject line, please put the seminar you are referencing (for example, Oct. 6th seminar on discipline) and then in the body of the email provide your name and that you are canceling.
Q: I’ve already registered, but now I’d like to add my sister’s name to my group, how do I do that?
A: Again, please send an email to seminars@nemours.org. In the subject line, include the seminar you are referencing (for example, Oct. 6th seminar on discipline) and then in the body of the email provide your name as well as what changes you are requesting.
Q: Why can’t I call someone?
A: As we continue these seminars, we hope to have a direct number for inquiries. In the meantime, if you need to speak with someone, please send us an email at seminars@nemours.org with your name and phone number and we will be sure and give you a call.
Q: How do I get to the hospital? Where do I park?
A: Get driving directions to the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. You can park upon entering the hospital grounds.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: We will do the best we can to update this page with any postponements or cancellations. We will also send an email to all registrants alerting them of any seminar changes.
