Throughout her career, Dr. Judy Wall has been dedicated to helping children. When she was appointed senior director of medical affairs for the soon-to-open Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH) in 2011, she was already well known in Central Florida as medical director of Nemours Children’s Clinic, Orlando (now Nemours Children’s Specialty Care, Orlando).
From 2012–2013, Dr. Wall served on the NCH Medical Executive Committee, chaired the hospital’s credentials committee, and led the credentials committee for Children’s Health Alliance (CHA), a network of Nemours-affiliated primary care practices that serves families throughout Central Florida. In addition, Dr. Wall served on the CHA Council of Managers and played an active part in supporting physicians who referred patients to Nemours Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Wall’s interest in children with chronic and long-term illnesses also led to her participation in several community efforts to help these children live life to their fullest potential. She is a former board member of Children’s Miracle Network and the Make A Wish Foundation of Central Florida. She served on the Medical Advisory Committee of Camp Boggy Creek, a camp experience for children with serious illnesses located near Orlando. Dr. Wall also served on the board of Primary Care Access Network (PCAN), a collaborative effort that links local government, community agencies, hospitals and other social services to improve health care services for underinsured and uninsured residents of Orange County Florida.
These volunteer experiences and Dr. Wall’s rich and varied professional background — beginning in her hometown of Cookeville, Tenn., where she launched a decade-long teaching career before entering medical school — have helped forge a passionate and impactful advocate for children.
