Gina Ward has been involved in healthcare throughout her professional life. In 2012, she was appointed by Delaware Governor Jack Markell to the Delaware Health Resources Board (DHRB). The DHRB serves to promote the efficient use of healthcare resources across the state. Ms. Ward has also held various board and community positions at St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, Del., including member of the Board of Directors Executive Committee and Foundation Board Chairperson.
Ms. Ward began her career at Baxter International, a global healthcare company in Deerfield, Ill. She worked for over a decade in a number of positions, and, as Director of Healthcare Consulting Services, provided operational consulting to hospitals across the United States.
After a family expatriate assignment in Wiesbaden, Germany, Ms. Ward moved to Wilmington with her husband and three children. Since 2002, she has enjoyed being an active board member and volunteer with many Delaware not for profit and community organizations. She was born in South Bend, Ind., and graduated from the University of Notre Dame. She received her CPA designation (now inactive) in 1990.
Ms. Ward joined the Nemours Board of Managers - Delaware Valley in August 2014.
