DuPont Company Donates Generous Gift for Hospital Expansion

Thanks to a $2.5 million gift from DuPont, a global company based in Wilmington, Delaware, and operating in 90 countries, Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children has received a tremendous boost for its plans to expand into a new five-story patient care building. The gift was announced at a “Sky Breaking” event that marks the start of construction which will have all single-rooms for children and accommodations for families.

DuPont CEO, Ellen Kullman, comments, “Nemours/Alfred I. du Pont Hospital for Children is an internationally renowned institution and an important resource for children and families from around the world. We are proud to help the hospital increase its efforts to provide its patients with the best possible care and service.
