UnitedHealthcare and Nemours Children's Health System Expand Network Relationship

UnitedHealthcare and Nemours Children’s Health System have expanded their network relationship, providing people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare’s employer-sponsored, individual, Medicaid and Florida Healthy Kids benefits plans continued access to the health system’s clinics, while giving new access to care provided by Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando.

Nemours Children’s Health System includes about 400 pediatricians, pediatric sub-specialists and other clinicians providing pediatric medical care and support services at facilities located in Jacksonville, Pensacola and Central Florida. Nemours is a leader in new treatments and manages a biomedical research program dedicated to restoring and improving children’s health.

Nemours Children’s Hospital opened in October 2012 in Orlando and is a not-for-profit, 100-bed, full-service, Joint Commission accredited, acute care pediatric medical facility with a 24/7 pediatric emergency room. The hospital provides specialized pediatric care in the areas of emergency medicine, hematology, neonatology, neurology, oncology, orthopedics, surgical services and other subspecialties. Nemours Children’s Hospital also offers pediatric respiratory and rehabilitative therapy in an environment designed for families, by families.
