Biography

Nemours is one of the nation's leading child health organizations, offering pediatric clinical care, research, education, advocacy and prevention programs in the communities it serves and nationwide. Under its Cooperative Agreement with the CDC, Nemours launched the National Early Care and Education Learning Collaboratives (ECELC) Project on September 30, 2012. The project assists early care and education (ECE) providers to improve the quality of care they provide to young children with respect to nutrition, breastfeeding support, physical activity, and screen time using a learning collaborative method. As part of the ECELC, Nemours also provides ongoing hosting and maintenance of Healthy Kids, Healthy Future (formerly Let's Move Child Care) website. I manage web updates, reporting and technical support for this site. Let's Move Child Care was a part of former First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move initiative, which is dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity within a generation, so that children born today will grow up healthier and able to pursue their dreams. I also managed The New Normal, a National Institutes of Health grant-funded Nemours research site. It was an online coping intervention for parents of young children with type 1 diabetes. I managed this project from the research stage through design, content management, testing, implementation, and maintained the site and reporting during the Randomized Controlled Trial stage. My most recent publications show the results of this online coping intervention. I currently manage internal digital marketing projects for Nemours Research and am building out a Research Web-Based Training and Project "how-to" Pathway.
