Children may be born with a tear duct system that hasn’t fully developed and this can lead to blockage, excessive tearing and infection. Nemours pediatric ophthalmologists are trained to diagnose and treat blocked tear ducts with a variety of methods. And they have the skill necessary to perform pediatric eye surgery when it’s needed.
