Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders
Today, the survival rate for childhood cancer is at 80 percent or more, which means most children with cancer can — and do — get better. The Nemours Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders’ team of pediatric oncologists, hematologists, researchers and many other highly skilled pediatric specialists work together to offer the best treatments (with the least side effects) to our patients, and to kids all over the world who may never enter our doors.
Our cancer treatments follow and help to define the standard of care from the Children’s Oncology Group (or “COG”), an international research organization that develops and tests innovative surgical and medical treatments for childhood cancers. And Nemours provides a leadership role in cancer control clinical trials. We’re also proud to be one of only two designated pediatric National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Programs (or “NCORPs”) in the country.
