Hand and Upper Extremity Conditions We Treat
Our pediatric orthopedic surgeons help children with:
  • Syndactyly: joining of the fingers
  • Polydactyly: extra fingers
  • Symbrachydactyly: short and absent fingers
  • Thumb duplication: extra thumb
  • Thumb hypoplasia: underdeveloped thumb
  • Radial club hand: underdeveloped forearm structures on the side of the thumb
  • Ulnar club hand: underdeveloped forearm structures on the side of the pinky
  • Cerebral palsy: spasticity of the upper extremities
  • Brachial plexus/birth palsies: nerve injuries of the arm usually sustained during birth
  • Congenital radial head dislocation: dislocation of one of the elbow bones that causes decreased motion
  • Kienbock’s disease: collapse of the bone in the wrist
  • Pediatric fractures and malunions: acute broken bones and reconstruction of fractures that have healed out of alignment
