The Center for Clinical Diagnostics includes four laboratory groups who provide diagnostic testing services in support of various medical specialties and patient care at Nemours:
- Gastroenterology Clinical Laboratory
- Transplant Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory
- Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory
- Immunology Laboratory
In addition, all labs within the Center continue to pursue and establish collaborative investigations with clinical specialties including: Rheumatology, the Cardiac Center, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Anesthesiology, Neonatology and Solid Organ Transplant. These investigations are based on evaluating and/or developing new lab-based assays that may provide new or improved information for helping to diagnose and monitor treatment of pediatric patients. Some of the recent evaluations/developments relate to gastric pepsin, respiratory viruses and inflammatory mediators.
