To do this effectively, we conduct community health needs assessments (CHNAs) then explore potential strategies to influence them. The areas of opportunity listed in the location tabs above represent the significant health needs of children and adolescents in the communities our hospitals serve.

This Assessment focuses on the needs of children in Kent, New Castle and Sussex counties in Delaware and Chester and Delaware counties in Pennsylvania and will inform the development of our 2017-2019 Community Health Needs Assessment implementation plan with additional attention to the top three priorities of mental health, access to health care services and infant and child health as identified by community leaders, parents and Nemours leaders. We will continue to work with our community members and  stakeholders during the next few months to address these needs in a collaborative manner. If your organization has an interest in helping to address the identified needs, please send a message to CommunityNeedsDE@nemours.org.
