Rodney McKendree was born in Jacksonville, Fla. He received his undergraduate and masters degrees in accounting from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. In 1991 he earned the CPA designation.
Prior to joining Nemours in 1999, Mr. McKendree was a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Jacksonville office with both Healthcare and other Not-for-Profit audit clients.
Mr. McKendree was appointed to the Nemours Executive Team in 2006 serving as Vice President, Finance, and in 2014 became a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. McKendree is a member of Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He is a former member of the Baker County Development Commission having served after an appointment from former Florida Governor Lawton Chiles.
He lives in Macclenny, Fla. with his wife, Paula and has two children, a daughter, Reagan and son, Rhett. He enjoys fishing, golfing and Gator basketball. He serves on numerous committees and board positions at Raiford Road Church in Macclenny.
