The Childrens Health Program, a pediatric partnership between AtlantiCare and the duPont Hospital for Children, offers Southern New Jersey residents access to high quality pediatric care in their community.
Atlantic City Medical Centers family-centered inpatient pediatric unit, the Stanley M. Grossman Childrens Center, is located in the Mainland Division in Pomona.
Hospitalists are in house at the Mainland Division 24 hours a day, seven days a week to care for children in the pediatric unit, in cooperation with their primary pediatricians. They are also available to assist with pediatric emergencies and newborn examinations.
The AtlantiCare/duPont Childrens Health Program features a pediatric specialty care center in the AtlantiCare Health Park in Egg Harbor Township. Pediatric specialists from the duPont Hospital for Children are available for both initial consultations and follow-up visits.
Pediatric surgeons perform general surgery at the family-friendly AtlantiCare Surgery Center in Egg Harbor Township. The Surgery Center features an anesthesiologist specializing in pediatrics, medical equipment made just for children, and special family waiting area.
The regions only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is located in Atlantic City Medical Centers City Division. The NICU is staffed around the clock by neonatologists and a neonatal nurse practitioner especially skilled in the care of sick and preterm infants.
