The Leukemia Research Foundation of Delaware
The Leukemia Research Foundation of Delaware (LRFDE) recently hosted its Seventh Annual Black Tie Gala fundraiser at The Doubletree Hotel in Wilmington, Del. Denni Ferrara, Foundation President and Founder, presided over the “Moonlight and Martinis” themed program. The LRFDE has pledged $1 million to Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children to further its promising pediatric cancer research and, to date, $250,000 has been donated. Read More »

This season, Kohl's is featuring several books, plush toys and other fun activities. All items are only $5 each. One hundred percent of net proceeds are donated to kids' health and education initiatives in communities nationwide.
Over the past 9 years, Kohl's Care has given more than $960,000 to the Kohl's Healthy Kids Trauma Injury Prevention Program at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. This year-round program teaches children and their parents/caregivers how to prevent injuries, through education on issues including bike and motor vehicle safety. The program leaders have used the hospital's trauma registry to evaluate the needs of the community, and provide support to meet those needs.
Boyd's Flowers Sharing Hands
Boyd's Flowers is offering a unique online fundraising program to benefit schools and nonprofit organizations. Sharing Hands was designed as a way to continuously give something back to the community all year long.
With each order a customer can make a $2 donation to one or more participating organizations, including Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Simply select the Sharing Hands pull down menu on the order form and choose Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital.
Kelly Benefit Strategies Plus Three
Kelly Benefit Strategies of Wilmington, Del. has pledged $25,000 to support charities in Delaware through participating in Plus Three. Nemours is one of the chosen charities. Their online community allows you to log "Kudos Points" for walking, running, workout time, bike riding or even physical therapy. Melting Barriers was formed in 2006 with the mission to improve the quality of life for children by melting financial barriers. Dedicated volunteers gather yearly to engage the community in a fun, professional golf event to fulfill that mission.

Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation
The Nemours Fund for Children’s Health is pleased to announce the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation in Short Hills, N.J. has awarded a Quality of Life grant to underwrite the purchase of a pressure mapping system for the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Nemours Children’s Hospital. This vital equipment will help clinicians identify areas of pressure for children with neuromuscular and neurologic conditions that use wheelchairs.

Skanska is a leading international project development and construction company, constructing some of the world’s most iconic structures and developing offices and infrastructure projects throughout the United States. Beyond its role in building the hospitals of tomorrow for Nemours, Skanska has been a generous philanthropic partner, sponsoring black-tie galas, and golf tournaments in Wilmington and Jacksonville, holding successful annual golf tournaments in Orlando for the benefit of Nemours Children’s Hospital and underwriting a recent Hard Hat event to give community leaders a preview of the new Hospital.

- 407 Café: First Wednesday of each month, 10 percent of day’s revenue will be donated to Nemours.
- Larry's Giant Subs: Second Tuesday of each month, 10 percent of day's revenue will be donated to Nemours.
- Madison Furniture: On the 29th of each month, 5 percent of the day's revenue will be donated to Nemours.
- Nelore Steakhouse: Last Tuesday of each month, 10 percent of day's revenue will be donated to Nemours.
- Papa John's: 10 percent of all online orders for stores in Central Florida will be donated to Nemours when code: “NEM10” is used. (19 locations)
