Making Your Appointment

Conveniently located near the Indian River Medical Center campus, Island Pediatrics, in association with Nemours, offers comprehensive pediatric medical services for children of all ages.

You don’t need a referral to make an appointment, just call our office. When you call, we’ll collect some information such as:

  • your child’s name and address
  • date of birth
  • phone numbers of both parents (home and cell)
  • insurance information (including social security numbers of both parents)

If your child is a new patient, we’ll set a time for you to come in and fill out demographic and medical history paperwork. At that time, we’ll schedule your child’s first appointment with one of our physicians on a different day.

Please note: By Florida law, we are unable to see patients until we have demographic information and a medical history on file.

What to Bring
  • photo ID
  • social security number of the person responsible for payment
  • medical insurance cards (Medicaid and commercial insurance)*
  • names and dosage of all medications, including over-the-counter medication, your child is currently taking

At each visit, we’ll check your child’s growth, development, overall health and give any recommended routine immunizations.

Working Together for Kids

Island Pediatrics is associated with Nemours, is associated with Nemours, which means we’re part of a primary care network (called the Children’s Health Alliance, or CHA). By being a part of this network, we’re able to give our patients and families added resources for care and education. This doesn’t change the way we operate our practice — it just enhances the care your family receives.

We’ve chosen to associate with Nemours because it’s a nationally-recognized children’s health system that provides outstanding pediatric specialty care, research, education and advocacy (being a voice for children’s health issues). We also share the very same commitment to family-centered care — and pride ourselves in treating every child as one of our own.

As part of our family, you will continue to enjoy the same personal care and attention from the Island Pediatrics team. And you can continue to receive referrals to any hospital or specialist of your choice.
