Nemours Children's Primary Care, Oviedo provides children and families with quality, professional primary care services. Our health care professionals hold preventive care and whole-child wellness as top priorities and also have a personal interest and experience in the areas of lactation, eczema management, obesity prevention and developing the parent-child bond. Board-Certified Lactation Consultant in Oviedo

Most new mothers get lactation guidance that’s provided by the medical facility during their hospital stay immediately after giving birth. Private practice lactation consultants offer extended care and ongoing advice to new moms. At Oviedo, we are happy to have an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner who is also a board-certified lactation consultant.

Making Your Appointment

Nemours Children's Primary Care, Oviedo offers families preventive, routine and sick-child care in a family-centered environment. You don’t need a referral to make an appointment, just call our office. When you call, we’ll collect information such as:

  • your child’s name and address
  • date of birth
  • parent phone numbers (home and cell)
  • insurance information (including parent social security numbers)
 
What to Bring
  • photo ID
  • medical and pharmacy insurance cards
  • preferred pharmacy name and phone number
  • names and dosage of all medications, including over-the-counter medication, your child is currently taking
  • guardianship and custody papers, if a legal guardian rather than a parent accompanies your child

Children should be seen for “well-child” check-ups to make sure they’re growing up healthy at:

Recommended Immunization Schedule

Nemours Children's Primary Care, Oviedo adheres to the immunization/vaccination schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Please note that some of the vaccines may be given in combination so that your child gets fewer shots.

  • birth: HBV
  • 1–2 months: HBV (second dose)
  • 2 months: DTaP, Hib, IPV, PCV, Rota
  • 4 months: DTaP, Hib, IPV, PCV, Rota
  • 6 months: DTaP, Hib, PCV, Rota
