Premier Primary Care Pediatrics for Kids: Newborns to Teens

At Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Wayne we provide high-quality, professional pediatric primary care services for infants, children and adolescents. Our physicians are board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

We offer preventive care and whole-child wellness, including nutritional counseling. We love working with families — helping you through the important milestones of your child’s life, and providing compassionate support and advice for raising happy, healthy kids every step of the way.

Our primary care pediatrics office is conveniently located on Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, in the heart of Philadelphia’s Main Line.

Making Your Appointment

Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Wayne offers families preventive, routine and sick-child primary care pediatrics in a family-centered environment. You don’t need a referral to make an appointment — just call our office. When you call, we’ll collect information such as:

  • your child’s name and address
  • date of birth
  • parent phone numbers (home and cell)
  • insurance information (including parent social security numbers)

At Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Wayne we offer complimentary informational appointments for parents trying to make a choice about their child’s primary care pediatrician as well as new patients who are considering our practice for their child’s care. This is a great time to meet our doctors and staff, see our facility and learn more about our practice. Call us to schedule your appointment.

Wayne Pediatrics Is Now a Part of Nemours Children's Health System

Wayne Pediatrics has joined Nemours, a nonprofit children’s health system nationally recognized for outstanding pediatric specialty care, research and education, as well as being a voice for children’s health issues. So now, our new name is Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Wayne.

 
What does this mean for me and my family?

As a parent, it’s natural for you to have questions. The first and most important thing to know is that you will continue to enjoy the personal attention and care you’ve always received from the staff at Wayne Pediatrics. We will also continue to make referrals to any hospital or specialist of your choice.

By associating with Nemours, Wayne Pediatrics becomes part of a primary care network with added resources for patient care from a children’s health organization known for its expertise in pediatric conditions and award-winning patient education resources. Perhaps the most compelling reason for this change is that our team and Nemours share an unwavering commitment to family-centered care — a belief reflected in the practice of treating every child as we would our own.

 
Will I still be able to see my current pediatrician?

You will still be able to use your current pediatrician. Dr. Black, Dr. Mooreville and Dr. Rosen-Pries will also continue to be on the staff of area hospitals.

 
Will I still be able to see my current specialist(s)?

Yes, you will be able to use your current specialist(s). Dr. Black, Dr. Mooreville and Dr. Rosen-Pries will also refer you to any kind of specialist your child’s health needs may require.

 
Will there be changes in the billing process?

For a short period of time, you may continue to receive bills from Wayne Pediatrics for services prior to Dec. 1, 2015, and receive bills from Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Wayne for services that occurred after December 1. During this transition, it may take longer for you to receive a bill following a visit.

 
Who do I call if I have questions about my bill?

Please call the Central Business Office at (866) 390-3610 if you have billing questions. For questions about services provided prior to December 1 or other general questions regarding your child’s health care, please call us at (610) 293-2229.

 
Will hours or days of service or office policies be affected?

Although there may be some policy changes, the hours and days of service will remain the same.

 
Will my insurance still be accepted?

As part of Nemours, we will participate in insurance plans similar to those already accepted by Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Please call to verify insurance before your scheduled appointment.

 
Will I still get personalized attention from my pediatrician?

You can expect to receive the same personal attention from Dr. Black, Dr. Mooreville and Dr. Rosen-Pries, as well as our staff. Your day-to-day experience will be the same high-quality relationship it has always been.

 
Will Wayne Pediatrics continue to serve all of its current patients?

Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Wayne will continue caring for all patients from birth to age 18. Patients over the age of 18 may continue to be seen under certain circumstances. Your physician will be happy to discuss this with you.

 
Will Nemours now have access to patient information?

All patient information is confidential and protected by HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) rules. If your child needs to see a Nemours specialist, or be admitted to Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, then information will be shared as needed to ensure the best care.
