Depending on the specific plan of care, your patient may be admitted to the Emergency Department of duPont Hospital for Children or directly to the most appropriate inpatient care unit (such as surgery, neurology, oncology, cardiology, and rehabilitation).

Patients may be transferred to the NCH Emergency Department, which includes round-the-clock access to pediatric specialists as well as advanced imaging capabilities. Patients may be admitted directly to the most appropriate inpatient care unit (such as surgery, neurology, oncology, cardiology, and rehabilitation), to our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), or our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) inpatient rooms.
