Get to Know Me
I am a native from Florida’s Space Coast. I earned my bachelor’s in nursing from University of Florida and graduated with honors. I was also inducted into the honorary nursing society Sigma Theta Tau. I earned my master’s in nursing from University of Central Florida (again with honors). I have been a nurse in the pediatric field for more than 25 years and have loved every single minute of it.
Why I Treat Children
I knew I wanted to care for children after completing my final rotation in nursing school in pediatrics. I got that “warm fuzzy feeling” so, I knew I was home and I never looked back.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about the health and well-being of all children and their families. I want families and children to embrace health care and become active members in their health now and especially in the future.
How I Try to Make A Difference
Treating children can be very tricky because you have to build a relationship from scratch since kids don’t understand my role the same way an adult would. When children come to the office, they are afraid and untrusting. With a smile on my face and a couple of stickers in my hand, I make a real effort to provide a positive and nurturing environment for all my patients and their families.
