Why I Treat Children
With my focus in public health, I believe the best way to prevent illness and disease in children is to start treatment early for better outcomes. I feel that an individual’s relationship with dentistry begins in childhood and their experiences in childhood shape the future of their dental care into adulthood. I further believe that each child is unique and it is extremely important to me that a child feels seen and heard throughout their care.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about understanding the individual needs of children and their families. By going out in the community and building relationships, I aim to improve oral health outcomes on an individual and state level. I believe that every child deserves a safe and loving dental home. I’m particularly passionate about ensuring that children who are behaviorally and medically complex have access to dental care. When a child has a complex medical history, I feel it is critically important to work within the child’s care teams so that the family can get the care needed in a well-informed setting.
How I Try to Make A Difference
By being involved with the community, I participate in a lot of outreach programs across Delaware to promote oral health.
