Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery

The Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Clinical Fellowship Program is a one-year fellowship program, running from August 1 till July 31, which provides in-depth training for a wide spectrum of congenital and acquired musculoskeletal problems in children. The fellows will gain clinical and surgical competence in the management of complex spine disorders and deformities, bone and soft tissue tumors, skeletal dysplasia, trauma, sports related injuries, hand and upper extremity problems, neuromuscular disorders, as well as disorders of the hip and lower extremities. Additionally, there is vast opportunity for clinical fellows to participate in clinical and basic research if desired. Three fellowships are available.
The Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Clinical Fellowship Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. We are an academic institution affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Application Process
Applicants for clinical fellowship positions that begin August 1, 2014, should submit their applications through the San Francisco Matching Program. Applications can be submitted to SFMP starting September 1, 2012. Applications will be reviewed by our program beginning in December 2012. Applicants are required to submit a complete application, CV, personal statement, medical school transcript, USMLE scores for Steps I, II, and III, along with three Letters of Recommendation. Applicants should send all supporting documents directly to SFMP.
Qualified candidates will be notified in December regarding the interview process.
