Pediatric Primary Care Services for Your Family
Lake Nona Pediatrics, in association with Nemours, provides children and families with quality, professional primary care services with special attention to preventive care and whole-child wellness. We love working with families, helping you through all of the important milestones and providing compassionate support and advice for raising happy, healthy kids — inside and out.
Conveniently located on Narcoossee Road (just off of State Road 528) in the Lavina Marketplace Plaza, Lake Nona Pediatrics is part of the Nemours primary care network called the Children’s Health Alliance (CHA), which includes some of the most highly-qualified pediatricians in Central Florida.
Board-Certified Lactation Consultant
Most new mothers get lactation guidance that's provided by the medical facility during their hospital stay immediately after giving birth. Private practice lactation consultants offer extended care and ongoing advice to new moms. At Lake Nona, we are happy to have an experienced pediatric nurse practitioner who is also a board-certified lactation consultant, Bonnie Lanternier, MSN, ARNP, CPNP, IBCLC.
Signs, Symptoms and Illnesses We See
In addition to providing well-child, preventive care like immunizations (vaccines) and health screenings, we treat children with a variety of common symptoms, illnesses and conditions, such as those listed below.
Does your child have a sore throat or abdominal pain, or a headache that just won’t go away? Review possible causes (and remedies) using the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) symptom checker called KidsDoc.

Walk-In Sick Time Care for Established Patients
For your convenience, Lake Nona Pediatrics provides walk-in sick care Monday–Friday, 8–9 a.m., for our established patients. If your child has an acute illness like a sore throat, fever, earache, you can visit us anytime during the hour without calling ahead.
Please note that we provide this service on a first-come, first-serve basis only for simple acute illness, not for well-child visits, complicated problems or follow-up visits (in which case, we’ll make an appointment for a return visit). If your child is a new patient, please call to schedule an appointment.
Complimentary Meet-and-Greet Appointments for Expectant Parents
We also offer complimentary informational appointments for expectant parents trying to make a choice about their baby’s primary care pediatrician. This is a great time to meet our doctor and staff, see our facility and learn more about our practice. Call us to schedule your appointment.
Working Together for Kids
Lake Nona Pediatrics is associated with Nemours, which means we’re part of a primary care network (called the Children’s Health Alliance, or CHA). By being a part of this network, we’re able to give our patients and families added resources for care and education.
We’ve chosen to associate with Nemours because it’s a nationally-recognized children’s health system that provides outstanding pediatric specialty care, research, education and advocacy (being a voice for children’s health issues). We also share the very same commitment to family-centered care — and pride ourselves in treating every child as one of our own.
